The Gathering of Eagles Foundation is honored to recognize United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Samuel “Sam” Galloway as a 2020 Air & Space Power Legend. Lt Col Galloway personifies the first ‘truth’ of Special Operations Forces that, “Humans are more important than hardware” where his distinguished service as an MC-130 navigator developed the tactics, techniques, and procedures for air operations in irregular and clandestine operations. His heroic efforts during Operation Eagle Claw directly triggered the normalization of Special Operations Forces with the establishment of the United States Special Operations Command. The GOEF and RangerUp present this shirt in honor of Lt. Col Sam Galloway, and the legacy of the 8th Special Operations Squadron.
