The 641^st Bombardment Squadron was activated in June of 1943 and served until the end of the war. Initially flying the A 20 Havoc light bomber they spent most of their time dropping hate on Jerry’s coastal defenses as well as V1 and V2 manufacturing sites in preparation of Operation Overlord. In December of 1944 they transitioned to the A 26 Invader and continued to make craters in German supply lines and communications during the Battle of the Bulge. Once Hitler decided to call it a day the 641^st went back stateside and started prepping for a deployment to the Pacific theater to convince Tojo that he should relax too. As it turns out, they weren’t needed because a couple of really big bombs persuaded Hideki that he should throw in the towel. The 641^st rolled their colors in November of 1945.
